Biography

I am passionate about Art, and have found a love for Abstract. I love the freedom of stripping back my subject, exploring their shapes and textures, based upon still life, photograph or in total spontaneity.

I gather inspiration from both personal experiences and imagery collected from travelling. I explore the media of Acrylic through brush, knife, roller and anything else I can find. I paint on varied sized canvases as well as varied sized paper stock’s.

My influences are Miro, Kandinsky, Picasso and Pollock. I love the Expressionist, Abstract Expressionist and Cubism movements. I admire the works of Dali, Magritte, Van Gogh, and Monet, subsequently loving the Surrealist and Impressionist movements.

My further education took me from the West Coast of Scotland to Carlisle in Cumbria where I received my Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Graphic Design in 2005. I moved back to Glasgow to join a City Centre Graphic Design Agency, I remain working as a Designer in Linlithgow, West Lothain.

I sell pieces of existing work and paint for commissions. If you are interested in purchasing any pieces or would like a quote for a commission please contact me  Also, If you like a style of painting but would rather see it in a different colour scheme please feel free to contact me and we can discuss further.
